Bitci Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz (20-14) couldn't hold off Joventut Badalona (22-12), who saw Ante Tomic and Pau Ribas combine for 43 points and hand them a 81-89 (16-21, 21-26, 18-16, 26-26) win in the ACB regular season finale.
Joventut captured the 4th place in the standings with that victory, while hosts Baskonia dropped to 6th and will lock horns with 3rd-placed Valencia Basket in the first round. All series will be played in a best-of-five format.
Ante Tomic scored 24 points and Pau Ribas added another 19, as both players also produced 6 rebounds and 5 assists apiece.
Wade Baldwin poured 17 points for Baskonia, who played without Vanja Marinkovic. The Serbian guard has been dealing with gastroenteritis recently.
