Anadolu Efes Istanbul kicked off the Turkish Basketball League playoffs on a high note.
Ergin Ataman's squad crushed Pinar Karsiyaka, 90-66 (22-17, 21-13, 22-13, 25-23), and took a 1-0 series lead.
After a 6-0 run in the second quarter, Efes ran away by 13 points (36-23). The same 13 points (43-30) differed the teams at halftime.
The reigning champions kept pushing in the third. After another spurt, this time 9-0, their advantage grew up to 26 points (65-39). That was game over for Karsiyaka.
