Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul officially announced that the club went separate ways with Marial Shayok on a mutual agreement.

Shayok joined Fener last summer, signing a 1+1 deal on June 21, 2021.

The EuroLeague rookie averaged 4.1 points, 1.2 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 2.4 PIR over 17 games (12 minutes) in the strongest continental league.

The 26-year-old Canadian athlete suffered from a left shoulder injury this campaign, missing a significant amount of duels.

Last season, the 54th overall pick in the 2019 NBA draft had his breakout year in the Old Continent with Frutti Extra Bursaspor. He registered the averages of 18.9 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 4.2 assists in 12 Turkish Basketball League matches.

Fenerbahce did not make the 2021-22 EuroLeague playoffs. Meanwhile, the Turkish powerhouse (21-6) sits first in the local competition.
