A nail-biting victory against BAXI Manresa last night in the Spanish ACB League proved costly for Rio Breogan. Their main player and the leader of the team - Dzanan Musa - was taken to a hospital after the match to perform an operation on his neck.

According to the club's announcement, Musa was operated on at HULA hospital in Lugo to ensure the proper functioning of the airway after suffering a fractured trachea after a blow received in the match. The player's return date is currently unknown.
According to Carlos Alberto Sanchez from Radio Marca, Musa, although injured, was seen taking photos with fans and giving out autographs after the match. Only later he was taken to the hospital for the operation.
"I'm going to have surgery on my neck, as I fight on the court I will fight this too and beat it!! Thank you For the wishes!!" the player himself said on Twitter following the surgery.
