Retired Lithuanian basketball star Jonas Maciulis achieved a victory on the court. Per BasketNews sources, Maciulis won a BAT case against AEK Athens.
Maciulis filed a lawsuit and requested seven salaries and bonuses that have been owed to him for the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons.
Basketball Arbitral Tribunal (BAT) ruled in Maciulis' favor.
AEK were obligated to cover unpaid fees for his agent Marius Rutkauskas.
Also, the Greek club will have to pay legal fees and expenses of their arbitration costs.
Currently, AEK have 18 FIBA bans in place. They're banned from the registration of new players.
After two seasons in AEK, Maciulis announced his retirement from basketball.
37-year-old Maciulis works in a consultant role in the LKL club Nevezis-Optibet Kedainiai.
