Ahead of tomorrow's EuroLeague match against AX Armani Exchange Milan, Bitci Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz have received some unfortunate news. The club has announced that Lamar Peters has suffered a muscle injury and will be sidelined for five to six weeks.
According to the official announcement, the Baskonia player was injured during Tuesday's training session and will not travel to Milan this afternoon.
After feeling discomfort, the player immediately went to diagnose the issue further. The diagnostic tests he has undergone have determined that he suffered a muscle injury that affects the back of his left thigh.
The injury will keep Peters out for approximately 5 or 6 weeks. The guard has been averaging 4.7 points and 2.7 assists for only 0.5 PIR in 15 EuroLeague matches for Baskonia.
Baskonia currently sit 16th in the EuroLeague standings with 7 wins and 16 losses, having lost the last 5 matches in the tournament. The team flies to Milan to meet Olimpia Milan on Thursday.
