Newly crowned AfroBasket champion Michael Roll could be heading to Spain for his next career stop, according to the report from Olga Lorente. The veteran swingman, who's still without a team after the end of his two-year tenure with AX Armani Exchange Milan, is drawing interest from the Zaragoza.

The Spanish team lost Santiago Yusta to an injury and the forward might miss up to two months of action. So the club is now exploring the market for a short-term solution. The idea is to offer Roll a three-month deal with the option to extend his stay if his performance meets the expectations.

Roll averaged 16.2 points and 5.2 assists in AfroBasket 2021, which was completed on Sunday. He scored 18 points (to go along with 9 assists) in a gold-medal game against Ivory Coast. In the past season with Olimpia Milan, Roll averaged 4.2 points per game in EuroLeague while shooting 43.5% from the 3-point range.
