According to a report from Emiliano Carchia of Sportando, the American point guard is joining the Russian team.
Last season "Speedy" Smith spent between Antwerp Giants, where he averaged 15.0 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 5.9 assists in 9 EuroCup games, and CSP Limoges. In the French basketball league, Smith registered 6.9 PPG.
Next season Nizhny Novgorod will compete in the Basketball Champions League's C group with JDA Dijon (France), Unicaja Malaga (Spain), and Lavrio Megabolt (Greece).
28-year-old (1.91) went undrafted in the 2015 NBA Draft and started his career in Europe (VEF Riga).
