ALBA Berlin have officially welcomed point guard Tamir Blatt to the team. The German Basketball Bundesliga champions inked Blatt to a three-year contract last year.
However, they have decided to loan the 1.84 m guard to Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem for one year. Blatt has been a part of Hapoel Jerusalem since 2018.
Tamir Blatt is the son of accomplished coach David Blatt. It will be Tamir's first season playing outside of Israel.
The 24-year-old averaged 8.8 points, 6.5 assists, 1.7 rebounds, and 10.5 EFF over 27.3 minutes in last season's Basketball Champions League.
In 29 Israeli Basketball Premier League games, Blatt accumulated 12.1 points, 7.8 assists, 2.6 rebounds, and 14.6 EFF over 28.1 minutes.
