Growing list of superstars committed to play for USA national team in the Tokyo Olympics will not include a former two-time NBA MVP.

Shams Charania of The Athletic reported that last season's top scorer decided against going to Tokyo for his first Olympics. Three-time NBA champion has two gold medals from the FIBA World Cups (2010, 2014).

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski announced that Utah Jazz leader Donovan Mitchell has also decided to skip on this year's summer Olympics. He led top-seeded Jazz with 24.6 points per game but was bothered by an ankle injury during a second round series loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Other notable players who've expressed commitment to this year's Team USA are Kevin Durant, James Harden, Damian Lillard, Draymond Green, Jayson Tatum, Devin Booker, Bam Adebayo and Bradley Beal.
