Zenit St Petersburg acquired American sharpshooter Conner Frankamp. Both sides agreed to a two-year contract. Frankamp (1.85 meters, 25 years old) arrives from UCAM Murcia, where he averaged 15.7 points and 3.5 assists in 25 Spanish League games last season. 

Frankamp played one season for the Kansas Jayhawks and three seasons for Wichita State. During his first college year in Kansas, Frankamp was a bench player and averaged 2.6 points per game. Next season he was transferred to Wichita State. As a senior, he averaged 10.6 points and 2.2 assists per game with the Shockers.

After going undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft, Frankamp joined Beroe of the Bulgarian Basketball League, where he went on to average 19.3 points and 4.3 assists per game. The following season Frankamp played for Rethymno Cretan Kings, where he averaged 20.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and 4.2 assists over 19 games in the Greek Basketball League.

Most valued for his long-range shooting, Frankamp was granted a Georgian citizenship and represented the country's national team in this year's Eurobasket qualifiers.
