Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul head Dimitris Itoudis made statements after the victorious Istanbul derby where the yellow-and-blue team defeated its archrivals Galatasary NEF. While evaluating the match, Itoudis also talked about the tension between him and a couple of Galatasaray players. A day after he coached Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul in the EuroLeague, Dimitris Itoudis now was at the helm of the Greek national team. Even though the first match was successful for the veteran specialist, Greece lost against Latvia in a resounding manner this evening. Talking after the match, Itoudis congratulated the opponent first.

Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul remain the only EuroLeague team without a defeat, and head coach Dimitris Itoudis shared an interesting reason behind such success. The Greek coach revealed that Fenerbahce have a coach behind the doors who analyzes the game on the go and provides key information to the coaching staff. 
Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul started the EuroLeague season with a comfortable win against FC Bayern Munich, allowing just 62 points. More than a fourth of those points were scored by one man - Othello Hunter, a center who is definitely not known to be a consistent scoring threat. Talking about the game, Fenerbahce's head coach Dimitris Itoudis applauded the team's defensive effort.
Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul shared some positive news regarding Nemanja Bjelica. According to the club statement, Bjelica has already joined the team and should be available in 2-3 weeks. However, the 34-year-old won't travel to Bursa, where Fenerbahce participate in a friendly tournament.

Dimitris Itoudis brought all Greek national team players and personnel together in the middle of Mercedes-Benz Arena. Some of them were crying and couldn't believe what just have happened. That's the place where many people thought Greece would be on the last day of the EuroBasket 2022, lifting a trophy on the podium.
Apart from clearing up the air on Giannis Antetokounmpo's injury, Dimitris Itoudis referred to Greece's next opponent in the EuroBasket Round of 16 in Berlin.  Once again, for the third time in the last two major competitions, the Czech Republic stands in Greece's way.
Giannis Antetokounmpo picked up an ankle injury in the 24th minute of Greece's game against Estonia, and did not play again. The 'Greek Freak' left the arena limping after the end of the match. Antetokounmpo, who scored 25 points on 8/9 two-pointers, 1/1 three-pointers, 6/7 free-throws, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 2 turnovers, had to receive treatment at his team's bench. 
Greece saw Italy bounce back from a double-digit deficit in the fourth quarter, but still managed to hold on to their lead and ultimately take their second win in their EuroBasket group in Milan.
Greece scored their tenth straight win in a EuroBasket premiere, knocking down Croatia 89-85 in Milan's Mediolanum Forum. Although the blue-and-white squad got off on the right foot into the tournament, coach Dimitris Itoudis saw his men suffer a four-minute blackout in the third quarter, which allowed Croatia to make a 15-0 run and get back in contention. 
The journey leading to EuroBasket has not been easy for coach Itoudis and his players. The Greek national team had to deal with a good share of physical problems, which forced them to arrive in Milan with 14 players, with some athletes still in doubt until the very last minute.
