After two summers with the Greek national team, Dimitris Itoudis will no longer serve his duties as the head coach.

The Greek Basketball Federation officially announced that the organization is parting ways with the specialist.

"The competitive obligation that arose with the participation in the Olympic Qualifying Tournament in the first days of July 2024 cannot be combined with the increased obligations of Dimitris Itoudis in the EuroLeague and the Turkish championship with Fenerbahce," the federation stated.

Itoudis began his tenure before EuroBasket 2022. Last year, the Greek national team fell in the quarterfinal of the tournament against Germany and finished 5th. This year, they got eliminated in the Second Round of the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

The federation notes that Itoudis will be available for the national team if any help is needed in the future.
