New Orleans Pelicans guard Jose Alvarado might miss the upcoming training camp, Shams Charania from The Athletic reports.

According to Charania, Alvarado suffered an ankle sprain injury, and his availability for the training camp is questionable.

Alvarado already missed the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 because of a stress reaction in his right tibia that prematurely ended his season in March.

Alvarado was recovering from the injury at the time, and the Pelicans did not allow the 25-year-old to participate neither in training camp nor in the tournament itself.

Last season, Alvarado averaged 9.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game in 61 appearances for the Pelicans.
