Neemias Queta is finalizing a two-way NBA deal with the Boston Celtics after being released by the Sacramento Kings.
Free agent center Neemias Queta is in the final stages of securing a two-way NBA contract with the Boston Celtics, as reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic.
His previous team -- Sacramento Kings -- recently waived Queta, which made him available to sign with any team in the league.
Queta had been with the Kings for the past two seasons after they selected him with the 39th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.
During the last NBA season, the former Utah State standout appeared in five games, where he averaged 2.4 points and 2.2 rebounds while shooting 66.7% from the field.
His career averages in the league stand at 2.9 points and 2.1 rebounds per contest.
Additionally, Queta has gained experience in the G League. He put up solid numbers in the last campaign, averaging 16.8 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.9 blocks across 29 regular-season appearances.
