According to the report, the interview took place on Monday afternoon via Skype. The Raptors are expected to make their final decision in one week.
Meanwhile, Doug Smith from the Toronto Star reports that Sacramento Kings assistant coach Jordi Fernandez and former Brooklyn Nets head coach Steve Nash have not been invited for a second interview for the Raptors head coach job.
Last week, Marc Stein reported that Scariolo and Memphis Grizzlies assistant coach Darko Rajakovic are in the running to become the next Toronto Raptors head coach.
Scariolo has a contract with Virtus until the end of the 2023-24 season. The 62-year-old Italian guided Virtus to a 14-20 record which was good enough for 14th place in the EuroLeague this season.
