Year after year, Barca have one of the biggest budgets in the tournament. However, this hasn't resulted in titles, at least in the last 13 years. With a budget of €37 million, Barca placed 4th in the EuroLeague Final Four this year.

With Sarunas Jasikevicius at the helm, Barcelona lost in the EuroLeague final in 2021 and played for the third place in 2022 and 2023. Before this three-year stint, Barca had played in the Final Four only in 2014.

With financial troubles slowly hitting the organization, the club's budget might be cut by up to 25%. At the same time, reports about a possible ultimatum to Nikola Mirotic have surfaced as well. If the cut is implemented, the team's budget would come back to the level of the 2019-20 season of around €30 million.

The team's losses have been significant as well. The basketball organization has been losing money ever since 2006 with the losses reaching €34.6 million in 2021.
