There was a clause in Bacon's that allowed the club to part ways with the player if there were any disciplinary issues without having to wait for the season to end.
Several days after getting left out of the team in the quarterfinal clash against Kolossos H Hotels Rhodes, Panathinaikos Athens forward Dwayne Bacon is officially no longer with the team.
After signing with the team in October, the 27-year-old was let go by the club for what was described as a serious disciplinary offense.
According to Georgios Kouvaris from Gazzetta.gr, there was a clause in Bacon's that allowed the club to part ways with the player if there were any disciplinary issues without having to wait for the season to end.
The Greek club will remain with just five foreigners in the Greek League (ESAKE) as the regulations do not allow registering new players in the playoffs.
"I'm so misunderstood it makes no sense but I swear I'm [a]bout business every time I step in between those lines," he wrote on an Instagram story several days ago.
