Following the Game 4 loss, Giannis did not do any interviews with the media nor attend the post-game press conference. According to Shams Charania from The Athletic, the Milwaukee Bucks superstar was receiving intravenous (IV) fluids through an injection in the locker.
In a 114-119 loss, Giannis finished the game with a triple-double of 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 13 assists.
Antetokounmpo went down with the injury in Game 1 of the 1st Round series. With 4 minutes and 13 seconds remaining in the first quarter, Giannis drove to the basket and was stopped with a foul by Kevin Love. The Greek Freak tried to score on the play but landed with full force on his lower back.
Giannis continued to play for two more minutes but was subbed off with 1:46 to go in the first quarter. The Bucks later announced that their superstar forward would not come back to the game.
With the Los Angeles Lakers leading the series 3-1 against the Memphis Grizzlies, it is the first time when multiple 7th or 8th seeds have a 3-1 lead in the 1st Round of NBA Playoffs since seeding began in the 1980s.
Game 5 between the Bucks and the Heat is scheduled for Wednesday night at 9:30 EST.
