EuroLeague released a video from the Olympiacos-Panathinaikos game, revealing the referees' discussions with players and coaches.
Few basketball games anywhere are always more at stake than the Greek Derby between Olympiacos Piraeus and Panathinaikos Athens. Their rivalry has been going on for many decades, and that puts pressure on players, coaches, and, of course, the officials.

During their Round 32 showdown at the Peace and Friendship Stadium, the game's officials – Ilija Belosevic, Mehdi Difallah, and Emilio Perez – wore microphones to help us understand better what it takes to work such a special showdown.

For example, when Belosevic asked Olympiacos star Kostas Sloukas not to shout to sell a potential foul because "you know, it makes a problem for us."
Or when Difallah told Panathinaikos guard Paris Lee why no three-second violation was whistled.
"If he goes for a quick shot, we don't need to call anything," Difallah explained.
This new feature, which was previously presented in a Round 29 game between Anadolu Efes Istanbul and Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade at Sinan Erdem Sports Hall, is part of Euroleague Basketball's continued commitment to reducing the gap between fans in the arena and those watching from home.
Fans can also follow live audio of the referees for each Instant Replay revision during all games, as well as during selected timeouts.
