The American guard suffered a shoulder injury in the Israeli League game against Galil Elyon on Sunday, March 5.

"He will not take part in the final practice before the game versus Fenerbahce and is doubtful for the game," head coach Oded Kattash revealed.

On Monday (April 3), the club announced that the player underwent surgery on his shoulder and is not expected to return to play this season.

In fact, this is the third very serious injury for Maccabi, as the Israelis have already lost Austin Hollins for the entire season and Alex Poythres for many months.

Adams averaged 12 points and 2.8 assists for Maccabi this season. In the Euroleague, he scored 6.6 points per game. Initially, Adams had signed a three-month deal back in October to help the team amidst an injury bug. The player's contract was extended until the end of the 2022-23 season.

With 19 wins and 13 losses, Maccabi currently shared 5th spot in the EuroLeague standings and need one more win to secure their pass to the playoffs.
