Even though the Wolves led by 12 points in the second half, the Blazers rallied to overcome the deficit and captured the win.

Coming into the game, the Blazers had lost 11 of their last 12 games. Additionally, they played without their biggest superstar Damian Lillard and three other starters.

Minnesota's loss is the largest upset in more than 30 years, according to ESPN Stats & Information.

"We always fall short, it seems," Anthony Edwards said after the game. "It always haunts us. And tonight, once again."

The last time a loss of a similar magnitude happened was during the 1992-93 season when the Dallas Mavericks beat the Seattle SuperSonics as the 19.5-point underdogs. The Orlando Magic beat Michael Jordan's Chicago Bulls in 1992 as 21-point underdogs.

With a 39-40 record and just 3 games left to play, the Timberwolves are currently 9th in the Western Conference, two games ahead of the 11th-placed Mavs and two games behind the 6th-placed Golden State Warriors.
