It's a tough loss for Minnesota as Reid is in the midst of his best season, averaging 11.5 points and 4.9 rebounds over 68 games.
The 23-year-old big man is in his fourth NBA season and has career averages of 10.1 points and 4.4 boards in 245 appearances.
The LSU product went undrafted in 2019. He then signed a two-way contract with the Timberwolves' NBA G League affiliate, the Iowa Wolves. In his first professional season, Reid split time between Minnesota and Iowa.
