Luka Doncic avoids a one-game suspension after NBA rescinded his 16th technical foul he received against the Charlotte Hornets. Doncic will play vs. the Pacers on Monday night.
The NBA has rescinded Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic's 16th technical foul he received against the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday, making him eligible to play tonight vs. the Indiana Pacers.
"Luka Doncic's (DAL) technical foul (7:51, 3rd qtr) from the game on 3/26/23 has been rescinded upon league office review," the league announced.
Under NBA rules, a player or coach is automatically suspended without pay for one game once he receives his 16th technical foul during a regular season. For every two additional technical fouls received during that regular season, the player or coach will be automatically suspended without pay for an additional game.
Dallas (36-39) has lost four games in a row and is currently outside the Play-In zone in the No. 11 spot in Western Conference.
Just recently, Doncic was fined for his money gesture against the Golden State Warriors while the team's recent struggles saw the Slovenian be very open about his frustrations.
"It's really frustrating. I think you can see it with me on the court," Doncic said.
"Sometimes I don't feel it's me. I'm just being out there, you know? I used to have really fun smiling on court, but it's just been so frustrating for a lot of reasons, not just basketball."
