If the negotiations result in the deal being reached, the game would reportedly by hosted in the Menora Mivtachim Arena in Tel Aviv.

With the relationship between European basketball and the NBA getting closer, two teams from two different continents might play against one another after a long break.

According to Efrat Amoraban from YNet, Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv are in negotiations to play against the Brooklyn Nets in October.

If the deal is reached, the game would take place in the Menora Mivtachim Arena in Tel Aviv before the start of the 2023-24 NBA season, Amoraban notes

The last time an NBA team played against a EuroLeague team was in October 2016 when the Oklahoma City Thunder played against Real Madrid and FC Barcelona.

Even though the Nets lost both Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving before the trade deadline this season, the club is set to participate in the NBA Playoffs or the Play-In Tournament.

After rebuilding the vast majority of the roster, Maccabi are currently on the verge of going to the EuroLeague playoffs this year. With 16 wins and 13 losses, the Israeli team is currently sharing 6th place in the standings with Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade.
