Christos Serelis, who previously worked with Lavrio, is expected to become the new interim head coach. Panathinaikos are in discussion with Pablo Laso about the possibility of him taking over the team the upcoming summer.
With Dejan Radonjic leaving the club after failing to win the Greek Cup, Panathinaikos Athens have found a replacement for the remainder of the season.
According to Georgios Kouvaris from Gazzetta.gr, the club is expected to hire Christos Serelis to be the interim head coach.
Kouvaris also notes that the Greek club is in discussions with Pablo Laso regarding the possibility of him taking over the team during the upcoming summer.
Serelis worked as the head coach of Lavrio this season. He was a member of the Georgios Vovoras coaching staff in Panathinaikos during the latter end of the season last year.
SDNA note that if Panathianikos agree with Laso, Serelis is set to remain in the club as an assistant coach.
Radonjic was let go after not meeting the club's expectations. With just 8 wins and 16 losses in the EuroLeague, Panathinaikos shared the second-to-last place with LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne.
