LeBron James thanked his family and others after becoming the NBA's top scorer of all time.
LeBron James surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, becoming the NBA's top scorer of all time.
In a game vs. Oklahoma City Thunder, James scored 36th point, taking his total to 38,388 points.
James made a step-back jumper with 10.9 seconds remaining in the third quarter. The game was temporarily stopped to honor LeBron's achievement.
"I just want to say thank you to the Lakers fans," LeBron began his speech. "You guys are one of a kind. To be in the presence of such a legend and great like Kareem means so much to me. It's very humbling. Please give a standing ovation to the Captain."
