Suleiman Braimoh arrives at Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv until the end of the season, the Israeli club officially announced after the EuroLeague Round 20 win over ALBA Berlin.

"I'm excited to join such a great organization like Maccabi," said Braimoh. "I'm ready to try my best to help the team and contribute to winning. I'm also looking forward to meeting the fans."

The 33-year-old Nigerian-American played for Tofas Bursa this season, averaging 7.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.6 PIR over eight BCL games.

The 2.03-meter big man, who can play at both power forward and center positions, competed under coach Oded Kattash at Hapoel Jerusalem in 2019-21.

"He has an amazing character and is a good teammate," Kattash said of Braimoh.

The player gives Maccabi's head coach another option in the big men's department, as Alex Poythress is likely to miss from 4 to 6 months following surgery for a torn wrist ligament.

Braimoh is a well-traveled athlete. He played college basketball for Rice University before playing professionally in the NBA G League, Qatar, Japan, New Zealand, Mexico, Germany, Russia, France, Spain, Israel, and Turkey.
