The Charlotte Hornets beat the Houston Rockets last night, capturing just the 12 win of the season but it was enough for head coach Steve Clifford to write himself in the club's history books.

With the win, Clifford became the winningest coach of the franchise. It was the 61-year-old's 208th win coaching the team in his second stint, passing the previous record-holder Allan Bristow, who coached the team in the 1992-96 seasons.

Clifford had previously coached the Hornets in the 2014-18 seasons,  finishing his tenure with a record of 196-214.

The late Paul Silas sits in 3rd place with 193 wins.

With a current record of 12 wins and 34 losses, the Hornets have the second-worst record in the NBA, only ahead of the Rockets.
