BAXI Manresa's Babatunde Olumuyiwa learned it the hard way on January 1st. At 2:40 in the morning, the center from Sierra Leone crashed a club's car into two other vehicles - a rental car for tourists and a motorhome.

Olumuiywa was later found drunk by the local police with a 0.82 mg/l alcohol content in aspirated air, more than three times the legal driving limit in Spain (0.25 mg/l).

The police have opened up an investigation into the matter that could result in the player being convicted of a crime against traffic safety.

BAXI Manresa have released a statement, confirming the fact of the incident and promising to take disciplinary measures against the "first team player", who was left uninjured. The club did not confirm the identity of the player.
