When asked about it after the game, the Serbian guard joked about his tough start to the game.
"Honestly, I thought that I had 9 turnovers," he said. The way I started the game, it was not so good with the lack of concentration and aggressiveness from [Thomas] Walkup. I give great credit for his defense. I'm happy that I somehow found a way to come back to the game. It was not such a bad game [in the end]."
"I think I was rushing at the beginning. I didn't want to do it on purpose but I felt too excited, and I think I didn't have a good rhythm in the game," Micic explained his first-half struggles. In the second half, I felt that we have a lot of capable players starting from Rodrigue [Beaubois] and Will [Clyburn] that can find their rhythm, so I followed them. That's why we have a lot of potential. I'm happy that I found it because it could've been different."
Anadolu Efes Istanbul are now on a 4-win streak. Next week, they will battle against Zalgiris Kaunas.
