After a great victory on the Opal Coast against ESSM Le Portel, Nancy (4-6) experienced the Victor Wembamyama effect, when French league leaders Boulogne-Levallois Metropolitans 92 (8-1) came for a visit.

Sylvain Lautie's men came across a team without pivot Ibrahima Fall Faye, Idrissa Ba, and Armel Traore, but Victor Wembanyama's talent was there - and it showed. The guests took another win by 92-78 (23-10, 17-23, 26-25, 26-20) behind the 18-year-old's double-double.

The French prospect scored 30 points on 9/19 from the field (1/4 3-point shots) and 11/16 free throws, grabbed 15 rebounds and dished out 3 assists. He also made 3 of his team's 7 overall blocks for a total PIR of 34.

While he was on the court, Boulogne recorded a 17-point lead. The squad coached by Vincent Collet received much help from Bandja Sy (17 points), Hugo Besson (13) and Tremont Waters (12).

On the other end, the hosts had four double-digit players but didn't manage to stay in contention. For Nancy, Anthony Labanca was the top scorer with 18 points, while Luke Fisher and Stephane Gombaud put up 13 apiece.
