Serbia national team head coach Svetislav Pesic provided a roster update before the upcoming 2023 FIBA World Cup European Qualifiers window.

As expected, not all of the EuroLeague players will be able to come, as Spanish clubs are hesitant to release their players.

"The Spanish clubs did not allow their players to come," Mozzart Sports quotes Pesic. "There is still hope, but most likely, Baskonia will not release Marinkovic, and Barcelona won't allow Kalinic to leave."

However, Pesic confirmed that he expects Vasilije Micic, Marko Guduric, and Vladimir Lucic to join the team.

Meanwhile, Nemanja Nedovic will be given rest, and he will also miss both games.

"Nedovic will skip this window, we talked, and he is still fit," Pesic said. "These seven days will mean that he will train and recover."

In the upcoming window, Serbia will face Great Britain (away, November 11) and Turkey (home, November 14).

Currently, Serbia has a 3-3 record and stands in 4th place in Group I. 3 out of 6 teams from the group will qualify for the 2023 FIBA World Cup, which will take place in Indonesia, Japan, and the Philippines.
