Kevin Durant says Kyrie Irving's posts on the antisemitic movie only impacted the media and everybody outside the locker room.

Brooklyn Nets suffered their fifth defeat in six games of the new season. This time Steve Nash's squad stumbled against the Indiana Pacers at home, 116-125.

Loss after loss is not the only concerning factor regarding the Nets. The team is surrounded by outside noise which started back in the past summer following Kevin Durant's trade request.

Now, the main topic of backlash is Kyrie Irving and his support for an anti-semitic film. Even the Nets owner Joe Tsai condemned Irving's tweet as hate-fueled.

Last night, Brooklyn's star guard led the way for the Nets with a game-high 35 points on 13 of 22 shooting. Despite the strong performance, it was the recent controversy surrounding Irving's social media posts that was the story of the night.

Durant was also asked whether the entire situation influences the team's focus.

"Absolutely not," he responded. "Only impacted you guys [media] and everybody outside the locker room."

KD offered an honest response about the team locker room, too.

"Whatcha think? We lost four games in a row? I must be excited about that? Of course, we're pissed," he said. "We enjoy basketball. We like to win though. Of course, when we lose the game, it's going to be a somber mood in the locker room. It'll change once we start playing some good basketball. We got a lot of basketball to be played."

"It was a disaster," coach Steve Nash said after the latest defeat, reiterating Durant's words. "I didn't see the will, the desire, or the connectivity necessary to get stops and get rebounds."
