The Cazoo Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz guard spent two years in the NBA, both of them being a teammate with Jokic. While Howard played for Marquette in the NCAA, his team shared the Fiserv Forum arena with the Milwaukee Bucks.
"I didn't have the honor of meeting the Greek Freak personally but I'm very familiar with the huge impact his rapid development has had on the city of Milwaukee and I'm a big fan of him," Howard told Gazzetta.gr. "The Greek Freak is a rare case of a person and an athlete, and his long-term commitment to the deer changed the history of the organization."
Asked to name a better teammate between the two, Howard hesitated a bit but provided an answer.
"Tough question, but I'd go with Nikola who I was a teammate of for two years in Denver. I know him well and he's my favorite," the guard told. "By far the most talented tall player I have come across in basketball and one of the few who always plays strategically and knows how to find the solutions in every difficult moment."
After winning the first three matches of the tournament, Baskonia will face Olympiacos Piraeus in the EuroLeague today. The match is scheduled to start at 20:30 CET.
