Former NBA player Ben Gordon faces problems over the alleged abuse against his 10-year-old son in LaGuardia airport in New York.

NY Post reports that the 39-year-old was waiting for a flight to Chicago when local police barred him from entering the plane and arrested him for allegedly hitting his son.

The 10-year-old was escorted by his aunt to Long Island Jewish Children's Hospital for evaluation.

Gordon has been arrested several times in the past. He was arrested for an alleged assault and robbery in 2017. He was also detained for driving with a forged license plate and setting off fire alarms inside his home in Los Angeles when there was no fire.

The former 3rd pick won the NBA Sixth Man of the Year award in his rookie season and averaged 14.9 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists throughout his NBA career.
