In a preseason friendly between two EuroLeague clubs, Emporio Armani Milan overcame Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv's challenge.

Emporio Armani Milan overcame Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv with a final score 80-71 (15-24, 22-8, 19-10, 24-29) in Athens in a friendly preseason tournament in honor of Pavlos Giannakopoulos.

Despite a good start by Maccabi, Armani took the lead in the second quarter and ran away with the game.

Shavon Shields, Luigi Datome, Kevin Pangos (didn't travel), and Johannes Voigtmann were still absent for Armani, while Lorenzo Brown didn't play for Maccabi yet.

Besides, Armani and Maccabi, Panathinaikos OPAP Athens, and the EuroLeague champions Anadolu Efes Istanbul will also participate in this preseason tournament held in Athens on September 23 and 24.

Armani were led by Naz Mitrou-Long who finished the game with 19 points(3/6 2PT, 4/8 3pt, 1/1 FT), and 1 rebound in 23 minutes.

For Maccabi, Darrun Hilliard had 18 points (1/3 2PT, 4/9 3PT, 4/4 FT), 2 rebounds, and 1 steal in 20 minutes.
