Some rumors surfaced today about the player being on the radar of Virtus Segafredo Bologna. Ponitka currently has a three-month deal with UnaHotels Reggio Emilia with a possibility to extend it for the full season.
With a rumored exit clause amount of just 25,000 euros, the forward is believed to be on the radar of many European teams.
After the disappointing semifinal against France, Ponitka decided to joke about the matter with journalists in the EuroBasket mixed zone.
"I will fly to Warsaw on Monday and to Izmir on Tuesday. On Thursday, I will fly to Bologna because Reggio Emilia is 40 minutes away," Ponitka smiled.
When reporters insisted on the player expanding on the rumors, Ponitka caved in a little: "I don't know what to tell you, we'll see."
