Doncic dominated throughout the entire game. The Dallas Mavericks superstar started the game with 22 points in the first 12 minutes and finished the first half with 27.

Luka's domination continued in the second half although he got hit in the head and had to leave the game at the end of the second quarter.

Overall, Doncic finished the game with 47 points, which is the best mark during this century in EuroBasket history.

Luka is now in second place on the all-time list, surpassing the legendary Nikos Galis, who had 46 points in 1983.

Eddy Terrace is first with 63 points back in 1957.

Led by Doncic, Slovenia (4-1) overcame France (3-2) 88-82 (20-19, 24-21, 20-24, 24-18) to guarantee themselves first place in Group C.

Slovenia had a 10-point lead with 5 minutes to go (80-70) but France was not ready to go away. During the following three minutes, France mounted a 9-0 run to narrow the deficit down to just one (79-80).

However, Doncic made two free throws, Goran Dragic made a crucial steal, Vlatko Cancar followed his block with a successful jumper, and Slovenia had a four-point lead with just over 40 seconds to go.

France had a chance but Evan Fournier lost the ball, and Zoran Dragic completed the victory with a wide-open fast-break layup.

With the loss, France now knows their opponent in the Round of 16. Vincent Collet's team will face Turkey, who lost against Spain earlier today. On the other side, Slovenia has guaranteed first place in Group B. Their opponent is not clear yet.

Luka Doncic ended the game with a stat line of 47 points on 15-for-23 shooting, making 6 three-pointers out of 11 and 11 free throws out of 12. He also grabbed 7 rebounds and dished out 5 assists for a whopping 47 PIR.

Goran Dragic was the only other player to score at least 10 points on the Slovenian roster, who contributed with 14 points.

Rudy Gobert was the leading scorer on the French national team with 19 points on 9-for-10 shooting and 8 rebounds.
