Luka Doncic finished the game with 34 points on 11-for-20 shooting, making 8 two-pointers out of 11. He also grabbed 6 rebounds, dished out 9 assists, and forced 9 fouls for an overall PIR of 33.

Nikola Jokic was not far behind with 26 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists, and 13 forced fouls for 31 PIR.

With just 5 minutes of the first quarter elapsed, Goran Dragic left the court and did not return to the game. He missed the only three shots he took and managed to grab a rebound during this time. According to information obtained by SportKlub Slovenija, Dragic's absence was a preventive measure due to experiencing minor pain after a blow.

With Serbia leading 85-84, Nikola Kalinic committed a personal foul while trying to avoid Doncic's screen, which sent the Slovenian superstar to the free throw line. Luka made both free throws and put the team back on top (86-85).

Nikola Jokic had a chance to take the Slovenia fans' euphoria away but missed one of two free throws with 21 seconds left (86-86). Doncic did not manage to beat Serbia's triple-team efforts with his last-second fadeaway jumper, and the teams went to overtime.

Serbia was once again in the lead with just under 2 minutes remaining in the overtime when small chaos started to happen. Kalinic received an offensive foul, Zoran Dragic lost the ball during a high-contact episode, while Vasilije Micic missed a fast-break layup. The chaos ended with Vlatko Cancar's triple that put Slovenia up by 2 (94-92).

Vanja Marinkovic had two wide-open chances to make a game-winning three-pointer but missed both of them. Doncic took the ball into his reliable hands and closed the game.

Serbia played without Aleksa Avramovic and Nemanja Bjelica on the roster due to injuries. Nikola Milutinov, Marko Guduric, and Balsa Koprivica were also not present on the roster.
