One of the most experienced Serbian national team members is in danger of missing EuroBasket 2022, according to Mozzart Sport.

Nemanja Bjelica

Position: PF
Age: 34
Height: 209 cm
Weight: 106 kg
Birth place: Belgrade, Serbia

Via the report, Nemanja Bjelica injured his calf during a friendly match against Montenegro behind closed doors.

Due to swelling, it's not completely clear how serious the injury is. This will be determined after further examinations in the near future.

Nikola Kalinic, Vladimir Lucic, Marko Jagodic-Kuridza, and Dejan Davidovac are the players, who can compensate for Bjelica's absence in case of a longer-term setback.

The 34-year-old Bjelica is a freshly baked NBA champion, who chose to return to Fenerbahce Istanbul recently.

Although he had a limited role in offense, Bjelica was vital for the Golden State Warriors on the defensive end, playing in 71 regular-season games and averaging 6.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per contest.

He last played official games for the national team during FIBA World Cup European Qualifiers. Over two matches against Latvia and Belgium this summer, Bjelica registered 6.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 5.0 EFF.
