After the two preparatory matches against Belgium and the Netherlands, Germany national team's head coach Gordon Herbert has decided to part ways with three players.

According to an official announcement by the German Basketball Federation, Robin Benzing, Kenneth Ogbe, and Leon Kratzer left the team ahead of the second half of the preparatory cycle.

Additionally, it was announced that FC Bayern Munich guard Nick Weiler-Babb is about to join the national team next week.

After narrowly beating the Netherlands yesterday, Germany is set to play two more matches before the 2023 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers. Italy, Serbia, and the Czech Republic are coming to Hamburg to play in a friendly SuperCup tournament on August 19-20.

Currently, 14 players are left on the national team roster.
