Olympiacos Piraeus and Greek national team forward Kostas Papanikolaou focused on the word humility in an interview about the upcoming EuroBasket with gazzetta.gr.
It's been already 11 years since the first time Papanikolaou represented the Greek national team. The forward said that the team should not be overconfident and know their ability.
"The team's trump card? Humility. To be humble, to present something good. Let's not have our heads over our heads, know our abilities, but also respect them," said Papanikolaou.
The NBA experienced forward believes that the core of the team is at the right age to succeed.
"The feeling is that we have players at the best age, at a very good age, and in good rhythm and condition. All this gives a nice feeling," Papanikolaou explained.
Greece's preparation games tip-off on August 9, when they host Spain at the OAKA arena (18:00 CEST). Two days later, the teams will play against each other again, but instead of Athens in Madrid (19:30 CEST).
