Kostas Sloukas and Giorgos Papagiannis will not be with the Greek national team for the two friendlies against Spain, but those two will not be the only players we will not see in the upcoming friendlies, as Dimitris Itoudis announced the first five players who were cut from the team.

Sloukas will follow an individual program in Athens and will be reintegrated after the team returns from Spain, while Papagiannis continues his individual program and is being monitored by the medical staff.

In addition, Itoudis announced the first players who were cut from the team. Alex Antetokounmpo, Giorgos Tanoulis, Omiros Netzipoglou, Giorgos Tsalbouris, and Lefteris Mantzoukas are the names we will not see in the upcoming EuroBasket. Mantzoukas was not with the team in the camp due to his illness.

Greece's preparation games tip-off on August 9, when they host Spain at the OAKA arena (18:00 CEST). Two days later, the two teams will test themselves against each other again in Madrid (19:30 CEST).
