Last month, there were rumors on the internet about Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul guard Marko Guduric returning to play for Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade for the next season.

Position: SG, SF
Age: 27
Height: 196 cm
Weight: 91 kg
Birth place: Serbia

After some time passed, the player's agent, Misko Raznatovic, denied the rumors stating that Guduric isn't going anywhere. Now, the player himself decided to speak out.

"Today, everyone can write, anyone with internet can create a profile and write anything and then people start sharing it and it goes in a certain direction," the guard said following a Serbia national team practice. "It was nice for me, I love Zvezda, everyone knows that, but I am bound by a contract."

Together with other players from his home country, Guduric will try climb out of a 1-3 win-loss hole in the Second Round of the FIBA 2023 World Cup Qualifiers. EuroBasket 2022 then awaits the team after the two official matches.

"Of course, the highest goals are there as always, people expect that from us, we don't need to waste words on that," the player said. For now, everyone more or less came prepared, I'm glad that everyone is here except Bogdan who had that problem and had to solve it. We are working full steam, I hope we will all be ready."

Bogdan Bogdanovic will be forced to miss the 2022 EuroBasket due to surgery on his right knee. Also, the Oklahoma City Thunder and Miami Heat did not allow their players Aleksej Pokusevski and Nikola Jovic to represent Serbia.

Serbia will face the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Finland, Israel, and Poland from 2 to 8 September in Group D in Prague.
