Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv officially announced the departure of Keenan Evans.
As it was reported earlier by BasketNews, the 25-year-old American guard is on his way to Zalgiris Kaunas.
Evans signed a three-year (1+1+1) contract with the Israeli powerhouse last summer but now he is leaving the overcrowded Maccabi backcourt line.
This off-season Maccabi bolstered their roster with multiple star guards: Wade Baldwin, Lorenzo Brown, Darrun Hilliard, and Austin Hollins.
The 1.91-meter Evans averaged 8.2 points, 2.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 10.2 PIR over 34 EuroLeague games last season.
Prior to his stints in Israel with Maccabi and Hapoel Haifa, Evans began his professional career in the NBA G League with Grand Rapids and also played for Delaware before he first came to Europe with Igokea in 2019.
