The American big man had played with AX Armani Exchange Milan for 6 years, winning two Serie A championships, an Italian Cup, while making the EuroLeague Final Four in 2021.

During his time at the prestigious University of Arizona, which belongs to NCAA Division 1, Tarczewski participated in almost all games as a starter since the first year, and has also advanced to NCAA Sweet 16 and NCAA Elite 8. He joined the Detroit Pistons and Washington Wizards in the 2016 Summer League, and has since signed with Oklahoma City Thunder.

In the past two seasons, Tarczewski's role at Milan got reduced. Last season in the EuroLeague competition he averaged 2 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 0.4 assists.

"After six seasons in Milan, I am looking forward to a new chapter in my career. I am excited to play for coach Kota Mizuna and the Gunma Crane Thunders. I have heard nothing but good things about the organization and the fans. I'm looking forward to seeing you all in August and start of the season," the American big man said after the signing was completed.
