Slovenian forward Vlatko Cancar has re-signed with the Denver Nuggets, according to his agent Misko Raznatovic. It's a three-year contract with a team option for the last season, but the details have not been made available.

Cancar had been a restricted free agent and this re-signing is not really a surprise, even if the 25-year-old player had a very limited role since his arrival in Denver. Last season he played only 15 games, averaging 4.1 points on 56.1% from the field, including 58.3% from distance, 2.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 11.8 minutes.

Cancar first joined the Nuggets for the 2019-20 season. He was selected by the team in the second round of the 2017 NBA Draft, though he remained in Europe with Mega Leks in the ABA League and, later on, with Burgos of the Spanish ACB.

The 2.03-meter forward from Slovenia started the season slow and didn't receive minutes until the end of November. He will be expected to join the reigning European champs in the upcoming EuroBasket.
