The Brooklyn Nets have signed winger TJ Warren on a one-year deal. The sum is not yet known but it should be between the veteran minimum and the mid-level exception (6.5 million).
T.J. Warren
Team: |
Indiana Pacers |
Position: | SF |
Age: | 28 |
Height: | 203 cm |
Weight: | 98 kg |
Birth place: | North Carolina, United States of America |
Traded by the Suns for cash in the summer of 2019, Warren had everything to become a Pacers franchise player. But, a left foot injury in December 2020 ruined his following campaign with only 4 games appearing on his list. In the Orlando bubble, he averaged 31.0 points on 57.8% from the field.
At 28, TJ Warren has come to the end of his 4-year, $47 million contract signed in 2018 with the Suns. A sum, of course, which he can no longer claim after such a period of inactivity. But the latest medical report state that the forward has fully recovered from his foot injury. If so, his contribution to scoring off the bench – or as a starter, depending on the next moves – will be beneficial for the Nets.
