Latvia (4-1) conquered the top of Group A by forcing Serbia (3-2) to 66-59 (13-12, 12-19, 21-7, 20-21) defeat in Riga.

Latvia ran away from its opponents at the end of the third quarter (46-38). The hosts started the last period with an 11-3 push and were 16 points ahead (57-41). Serbia could not come within the fighting distance in time.
